I just did my first oil change on my 2005 F650GS. I followed the advice in f650.com and everything seemed to go fine until I went to check the air filter after running the engine for a minute or two to check that there were no leaks after the oil change. There was a considerable amount of oil in the airbox and the air filter was soaked with oil.

I would use SAE10 as I find the SAE15 (thats what they suggest) that I used a bit too resistant and I'm planning on changing it to SAE10 soonish. Also, the Touratech USA site says that you should put the tighter wound spring end down.
